There’s racing at Ayr, Warwick and Yarmouth in the afternoon and Wexford, Southwell and on the all weather at Kempton Park this evening.

Below are our tips for today’s UK & Irish racing.

Our Tips – Quick Links

Warwick 2.10 NAP

In the opener at Warwick, a small field hurdle run over 2M3F, we think that the Harry Fry trained N P Madden ridden SEROSEVSKY (IRE) will take some stopping.

Having seen off a short priced favourite well last time out under very similar conditions at Exeter, is taken to do the same again today at an early price of 2/1.

Favourite DEAD RIGHT (GB) is an obvious threat, but has not been seen on course since winning a bumper in April 2017, and may therefore lack for a little match fitness today. The selection is today’s NAP.

Wexford 5.45

An each way selection in a big field mares handicap hurdle, the 5.45 second race at Wexford, which will be run over two and a half miles. We pick LOCKEEN GIRL (IRE) which is at the head of our ratings based on a nice effort at Thurles over today’s trip three starts ago in November.

This is a seasonal reappearance, so fitness may be a question mark, but this one went well first time back on track at this meeting last year to be second. A strong each-way chance if repeating that formula. A price of 8/1 looks good value under the excellent B J Cooper for the Thomas Mullins stable.

Wexford 6.15

Another handicap hurdle, in this third race at Wexford, we like the look of TOUCH OF GOLD (IRE) for an each-way play for trainer Michael G Kennedy under the 3lb claim of jockey P D Kennedy.

A double figure price of 12/1 in the morning makes for a small value bet. Has had a couple of flat runs to get fitness boosted, though it has to be said last time at Clonmel was a flop, which needs to be forgiven.

Southwell 6.35

In the 6.35, a small field hurdle run over 2M 4F and 62 yards, we think that EARLSHILL (IRE) has a great chance to overturn the likely odds on favourite FRENCH CRUSADER (FR). The other runner, HELMSLEY LAD (GB) is not far behind the favourite on our ratings, but our selection has a decent margin over today’s rivals for trainer Stuart Edmunds and jockey Tom O’Brien.

This one’s price is an early 5/2.

Southwell 7.05

Just the four runners in the 7.05 Novice Hurdle over just shy of two miles, and we think that GRANIA O’MALLEY (IRE) has an excellent chance under today’s conditions for trainer Evan Williams and jockey Adam Wedge.

The early price is around 15/8.

Southwell 8.05

An each-way selection in the 8.05 handicap hurdle race which will be over an almost 3 miles trip – WITNESS (FR).

We put this Micky Hammond trained gelding a little ahead under today’s conditions, something which is helped along by Miss Becky Smith‘s 5lb claim.

Having had a slightly disappointing run last time out, needs to recapture the form of two runs ago, though at an early morning 8/1, is a nice each-way bet to do just that.
