Today’s Racing Tips – UK & Ireland, Wed 28 June 2017

There’s racing in the UK and Ireland today, with afternoon meetings at Carlisle, Salisbury and Worcester followed by evening meetings at Bath, Kempton and across the Irish Sea at Naas.

There are two tips for today, one shorter and one long-ish priced for each-way racing fans.

7.40 Kempton Park – Election Day (NAP)

Nap of the day for today goes in the 7.40 at Kempton over 1 mile, and is Mark Johnston’s Election Day under William Buick. This has already been backed in from an overnight price of IRO 7/1 to around a 10/3 chance, and it looks like it may well go off favourite come this evening.

Either way, we recommend nailing the around 7/2 available at Bet365 as you’ll get Best Odds Guaranteed.

7.50 Naas – Modern Approach

The Next Best for Wednesday is the James Bolger trained Modern Approach which runs just 10 minutes after the other selection, in the 7.50 at Naas, under Ronan Whelan.

This horse is available at around 18/1 and would appear to be “second string” based on jockey bookings (Bolger’s main man, Kevin Manning rides Vociferous Marina for the same owner trainer combo), but a repeat of the head second of three days ago at Gowran Park under today’s conditions should see a great run for your money for each-way backers. Clearly in good heart, 18/1 could be a steal.

Expected to go off shorter than that, so its worth getting Best Odds on this one, too, with Bet365.

Good luck whatever you do! Leave a comment below with your tips and best bets for today, if you’d like!
