Today’s Racing Tips – UK & Ireland, Thursday 29 June 2017

There’s horse racing happening in the UK and Ireland on Thursday 29th June 2017, with meetings in Newcastle, Newmarket, Hamilton, Newbury, Nottingham and Tipperary across the afternoon and evening.

We’ve selected a couple of good bets at nice prices for followers to have a look at today.

5.40 Tipperary – Social Bandit @ 16/1 NAP

This horse put in a pretty so-so performance on debut, at an unfancied 66/1 before staying on nicely into 6th place in the straight despite testing conditions. Today’s ground is easier, and, having learned from that experience, is expected to improve.

Wouldn’t need to be a world beater to make the frame in this race, and the early price of 66/1 has all gone, and this horse is now trading at 16/1 or 12/1 generally, and continues to shorten. Clearly fancied by others too, this one looks a sound each-way prospect still.

4.25 Newmarket – Khamaary @ 9/4 NB

This one put in an improved performance to be second in a decent race at Musselburgh over a mile last time out, and looks on paper like today’s 7f is the optimum trip. Under Jim Crowley, this Mark Johnston trained three year old wouldn’t need to show any improvement to lift this – providing the others in the race also run to form, and therefore is a strong win bet at a price of a shade over 2/1.
