Sedgefield Tips – Tuesday 28 November 2017

Six jumps races will take place in the North East of England, at Sedgefield, on Tuesday.

We’ve put each entry through our ratings systems to arrive at a tip in every one of the day’s races, below.

Sedgefield Tips – Tuesday 28 November 2017

Course Time Our Tip Race Type Dist
SEDGEFIELD 12:50 PM BULKOV (FR) National Hunt Hurdle 2m178y
SEDGEFIELD 1:20 PM HARRY HUNT (GB) National Hunt Chase Handicap 3m2f59y
SEDGEFIELD 1:50 PM CHERRY PRINCESS (GB) National Hunt Hurdle Handicap 2m178y
SEDGEFIELD 2:20 PM DERINTOTHER YANK (IRE) National Hunt Chase Handicap 2m77y
SEDGEFIELD 2:50 PM FREE RANGE (IRE) National Hunt Hurdle 2m3f188y
SEDGEFIELD 3:20 PM RHYTHM OF SOUND (IRE) *NAP* National Hunt Chase Handicap 2m77y

The top selection for Tuesday’s Sedgefield card is RHYTHM OF SOUND (IRE) which runs in the 3.20pm last race, a Chase Handicap over an extended two miles.

This Micky Hammond trained gelding will be ridden by Alain Cawley, and is an overnight price of 5/2 to take this race.

That price may seem a little short, but it is worth noting that the market, and indeed our ratings, make this out to be something of a two horse race, with the top two places likely to be made up of our selection, and Lucinda Egerton’s Bollin Line, which is looking to win an impressive fourth race in a row.

Now this is the type of situation in which our ratings come into their own – as yesterday at Kempton when we successfully tipped Richard Johnson at 3/1 to win a match race with a short priced favourite. Bollin Line is overnight favourite at 7/4. This may change by the off, in our opinion.

RHYTHM OF SOUND  won a similar event at Leicester a week ago,  eased down, and still clocked a better performance than Bollin Line’s wins – all of which were over hurdles. Can the favourite give our selection 21 lbs over the larger obstacles? We don’t think so.

After a slog on well raced on ground, we expect our selection to win with a little in hand, unless one of the inconsistent sorts in this race can string together a performance.
