Our top tip at Musselburgh goes in the 3.30 last race, a chase handicap run over just under three miles: Bright Prospect. This Jackie Stephen trained 8yo gelding will be ridden today by Brian Hughes and has a great chance of lifting this one, despite carrying a top weight of 11-12.
The bookies agree and make this one favourite, with odds that have drifted a touch to 6/4. Is the best horse in the race, but is returning from 196 days off course, so needs to be fit and raring to go. Strength in betting would be a real positive, as it would demonstrate that connections think he’s 100% for today’s return.
