Top tip for Wednesday’s Fairyhouse meeting is Monkshood which goes in the 2.55 for massively in-form trainer Gordon Elliott under Jack Kennedy.
This trainer jockey combination are winning just about everything, but we don’t select based on that.
Instead, we measure the recent (and best ever) performances put down by each horse in every race, under today’s conditions and attempt to predict today’s outcome.
The best bet for the day is the horse which shows the biggest margin over its rivals based on the expected outcome.
Today, at Fairyhouse, that is Monkshood.
A price of 6/5 shows the market agrees, but its a strong chance to lift this 2m4f hurdle event with a little in hand, unless a rival shows a level of improvement on the previous runs put down (this can and does happen!).
