Pallasator cruises to victory under Norman Williamson in John Shortt Legends race 2017 @ Punchestown

Gordon Elliot’s Group class flat recruit from Sir Mark Prescott looked a cut above in the 2017 John Shortt Legends race at Punchestown.

The 8 year old gelding was on the bridle the whole time, before being gently squeezed by old hand Norman Williamson to win impressively over 1m6f.

The following video replay was posted by AtTheRaces just after the finish, onto Twitter.

Full Result, 1.20 Punchestown, John Shortt Legends Challenge Race (Charity Race)

  1. Pallasator 13/8F
  2. Tiger Roll 10/1
  3. Monksland 3/1

The placings were made up by Norman Williamson, Philip Dempsey and Paul Carberry in this fun legends event.

The winner looks like one for the notebook, though, and is an interesting recruit to the jumping world, owned by Qatar Racing Ltd, and trained by Gordon Elliot. Watch out for this one next time out.
