Newcastle Racecourse is at Gosforth Park near Newcastle upon Tyne, England, UK.

The course is owned by Arena Racing Company.

Jumps, Turf Flat & All Weather (Tapeta) racing

Newcastle hosts both flat and National Hunt racing, with its biggest meeting being the Northumberland Plate held annually in June.

In 2013, the course announced plans to convert their flat course into All Weather, with the first race taking place on a brand new Tapeta track in May 2016. The course is fully floodlit, allowing night racing in the North of England to take place year-round, for the first time.

Newcastle has 62 race meetings in 2017, making it one of the busiest courses in the UK, owing to its triple threat of National Hunt, turf flat and evening all weather flat capabilities. Good job they love their racing in the North!
